This is Pont du Gard in the south of france, it is a bridge built by romans. In fact, it is an aqueduct with 49 mt of height that was built on the first century of the christian age. It is an amazing construction over the Gard river and it was created by romans to bring water from the water sources of the river in Uzes to the city of Nimes (former, Nemausus) that is around 50 km from the sources. In 1985, Unesco declared it as human cultural heritage and on its history has been damaged and repaired several times. It is a very touristic place and most of time is plenty of people. There is also a museum and a lot of rstaurants. I went there exactly one year ago with two friends and now I felt the need to remember this beautyful experience.
